(Greenfield, MA) The management company for the Greenfield Garden Apartments in Greenfield has been issued a fine of $35,000 for asbestos violations at the complex on Pray Drive. Mount Holyoke Management made renovations to units in 2019 and were found to not be in compliance of requiring notification of renovation work by MASS DEP. According to the state agency, work by Mount Holyoke Management disturbed building materials containing asbestos. MASS DEP ordered work to be stopped and some families at Greenfield Gardens needed to stay at a hotel until the work was completed.
