(Deerfield, MA) — It looks like the battle over a proposed Deerfield Dollar General Store is headed to court. A group of eight Deerfield residents have filed papers in Housing Court challenging a Zoning Board decision to grant a special permit to allow Dollar General to build a store at the intersection of Routes 5 and 10 and Mill Village Road. The development has been widely opposed by a number of Deerfield residents who believe the store will be a bad fit for the area.
