(Northampton, MA) — The first major candidate has entered the race for Northampton Mayor. City Council President Gina-Louise Sciarra has announced plans to run for the mayoral post being vacated by David Narkewicz. Sciarra has served on the City Council for four terms, three as a representative from Ward Four, and this current term as a Councilor At-Large. She was unanimously elected President by the current Council, and previously served as Council Vice President.
