(undated) — Some good news on the Massachusetts job front. The State Department of Employment and Training says the commonwealth’s unemployment rate has now dropped to below eight percent. That rate ballooned to as high as 16 percent during the early days of the COVID pandemic one year ago. The current rate is still two and a half times higher than it was before the pandemic began.
