(undated) — Though things seem to be improving, the region is not yet out of the woods when it comes to the spread of the coronavirus. State health officials say five more Western Mass. towns have been classified as COVID 19 “red” zones after a spike in new cases was reported. They are Chicopee, Southwick, Palmer, and Monson in Hampden County and Lee in Berkshire County. There are currently no towns in Franklin or Hampshire counties on the elevated COVID threat list.
