Yesterday’s Brush Fire In Deerfield Spanned Two Acres, Threatened Two Homes

(Deerfield, MA) The Deerfield Fire Department, along with other area departments, was called to Christian Drive around 11:12am Tuesday for a fast moving brush fire threatening a structure. Mutual aid from Greenfield, South Deerfield, Turners, and the Massachusetts State Department of Conservation and Recreation provided assistance. In total, the brush fire spanned two acres and threatened two homes. The brush fire warning level today is at a level four, which is a high threat for brush fires in the area.
