Massachusetts Hazmat Team On Scene At Turners High School And Great Falls Middle School

(Turners Falls, MA) Turners Falls Fire Fighters along with the Massachusetts Hazmat Team and the Department of Environmental Protections is on scene at the Turners Falls High School and the Great Falls Middle School.
According to a representative of the Turners Falls Fire Department, the department was notified of a problem at the school at 7am Thursday morning. School was called off and is 100% remote. Anyone in the building has been evacuated. Gas has been shut off in the building but the source of the odor is not known at this time. According to the Massachusetts Hazmat Team media representative an unknown odor was located in one of the labs, but the exact nature of that odor is not known at this time.
