(Pittsburgh, PA) — For the second year in a row, the University of Massachusetts men’s hockey team will compete for a national championship. Garrett Wait scored the game winner in overtime last night as the Minutemen beat the University of Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 in the semifinals of the NCAA’s “Frozen Four” in Pittsburgh. UMass will now play St. Cloud State Saturday for what would be the program’s first-ever NCAA hockey championship.
