Greenfield Volunteers Collect Trash In Successful Cleanup Effort

(Greenfield, MA) — The city of Greenfield is a whole lot cleaner today thanks to the efforts of a number of dedicated citizens. A four-day town-wide trash pickup launched on Earth Day generated dozens of bags of a wide variety of refuse. The trash was disposed of by the Department of Public Works. Among the participants were organizers of the annual Green River cleanup held each fall as part of the “Source To Sea” effort.
