(Montague, MA) — Getting in and out of Turners Falls may take a little longer than usual next week. The Montague Police Department says the state has announced that it will conduct a week-long inspection of the Turners Falls-to-Gill bridge beginning Monday. With the General Pierce Bridge closed for ongoing maintenance, the Turners Bridge is the main route for cars to get out of the village. Police say they will try to maintain two lanes of traffic during the inspection, but that will largely depend on the scope of work related to that process.
