(Erving, MA) — A former Erving Selectman is returning to that board. Former Selectman Scott Bastarache defeated Janice Vega Liros in the only competitive race in this week’s Erving Annual Town Election. Bastarache will serve out the final year of the unexpired term of Selectman Peter Sanders, who resigned in January. Bastarache has indicated he will seek a full three-year term next year. Only 71 of Erving’s 1,195 registered voters cast ballots in Monday’s election.
