(undated) — Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker wants to overhaul the commonwealth’s professional license operation. Baker has filed a bill which, if approved, would make sweeping changes to the process by which Massachusetts awards licenses, and would create a new system to ensure that license holders are following the law and the terms of their agreements. Baker said the bill grew out of what he called a “comprehensive review” of the present licensing system, which he says has a number of areas which could be strengthened significantly.
