(Montague, MA) — Saturday’s Montague Annual Town Meeting may include another lengthy debate on police department policies and funding. Montague officials say there is expected to be an attempt at the meeting to reduce or otherwise alter the police budget, as was attempted, unsuccessfully, in 2020. Some residents believe a recent largely positive citizen review of the police department was suspect because it did not have enough input from people of color. Saturday’s Montague Town Meeting begins at 9 am under a tent at the Franklin County Technical School football field.
