(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield public school students will no longer have to wear protective masks when going outside for recess or other activities. The Greenfield School Committee has voted to amend the district’s mask policy to allow students to not wear face coverings outside, including student athletes on spring teams that play outdoors, as well as low-risk indoor sports where 14 feet or more of distance can be maintained. The new policy is consistent with new guidelines released by the state earlier this month.
