UPDATE: Sunderland To Honor War Dead Friday Afternoon CANCELLED

UPDATE: Today’s ceremony has been cancelled due to impending rain

(Sunderland, MA) — The town of Sunderland is scheduled to honor its war dead later today. The town will host its traditional Friday night Memorial Day weekend ceremony at Brookside Cemetery, weather permitting. The names of all Sunderland residents who died in defense of our nation will be read aloud at Brookside Cemetery, in an event which will be live-streamed on Zoom. The traditional Memorial Day parade from town hall to the cemetery has been cancelled because of COVID restrictions.
