(Greenfield, MA) — After a washout of a weekend, Mother Nature allowed enough of a respite for cities and towns across the region to take a moment Monday to honor those who died on the field of battle. Memorial Day ceremonies were held in cemeteries and veterans monuments in several communities, including Greenfield, where close to two dozen people attended an abbreviated ceremony at the Veterans Mall. Traditional Memorial Day parades were largely cancelled due to COVID 19 restrictions.
