(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield city councilors are looking to continue the discussion on how to improve operations at the city’s assessor’s office. A pair of council subcommittees will meet next month to hear a presentation from an outside vendor which currently manages the town’s assessment service. There are some who feel Greenfield’s assessments have been lower for some properties than they should be, a dissatisfaction which led to an unsuccessful attempt to reduce the assessor’s office appropriation at the most recent council budget meeting.
