If you’re like many Americans, you’ve been coronavirus quarantined for two weeks and are wondering what you’re going to do during that time. Your home is now your office, gym, school for your kids, and the only restaurant you can dine in.
Gym Equipment:
Milk and water jugs, large bags of food, and canned food can double as weights for an at home workout. Use the stairs in your home to get your heart rate up. Start a dance party with your family to relieve stress and get cardio.
Office Space:
Choose one dedicated area in your home for work. Set up all the equipment you’re going to need and minimize distractions. Spaces could include a spare corner of the house, a room that is not in use, your kitchen, or the living room.
Staying healthy:
Your kitchen is now your only eat in restaurant option. Many grocery stores offer limited hours, and if you’re in quarantine you may not be able to go shopping for a few weeks. Working at home with your kids:
Working at home with your kids can be challenging. Setting expectations, letting go of perfectionism and staying connected through technology is key. Check out this article about working from home with kids and managing expectations.
