(Amherst, MA) After a 17 year run, a beloved breakfast spot in Amherst is closing its doors. The Lone Wolf, owned by Rob Watson, will not reopen after a 14 month struggle due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Catering by the Lone Wolf will still be available, but the brick and mortar restaurant will no longer be a popular stop for locals, college students, and their families. In a statement released May 26, Watson said he and his wife can’t thank the community enough for their support all these years.
“You all have helped create a warm and welcoming family vibe that has been an integral part of the atmosphere at the Lone Wolf,” said Watson.
Watson also said that during the 14 month shut down, he was able to get a pair of new knees. The opportunity to reflect and heal, he said, is what brought him to the decision not to reopen the restaurant.
