Deerfield Selectboard Tables ZBA Appointments, New Policy Under Consideration

(Deerfield, MA) — Appointments to Deerfield’s Zoning Board of Appeals will have to wait until next week. The Deerfield Selectboard Tuesday night voted to table the ZBA appointments until next week after a number of residents raised concerns about the reappointment of a member who also happens to be a Deerfield police officer. Selectboard members are expected to consider whether to draft a new policy related to town employees who also volunteer to be part of town boards and commissions. Another debate and vote is expected to take place next week.
