(Athol, MA) Colby Hume, age 20 of Athol, has been convicted of rape and abuse of a child after a two day trial involving twelve witnesses. The assault occurred on a 14 year old victim on July 14, 2019. A sentencing hearing will be held July 14. This was the second 12 person jury trial in the Franklin Superior Court since jury trials resumed.
