(undated) — Some good news potentially for people in the catering industry. A bill has been filed in the Massachusetts House which would waive the annual license fee for caterers in 2021. Proponents say the move would provide a boost to an industry which was hit hard during the COVID 19 pandemic. Catering businesses are required to be licensed to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, and those licenses cost $1,500. The bill would waive the fee for 2021 and instruct the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission to refund any fees already paid this year by catering companies.
