(Northfield, MA) Northfield Police Chief Robert Leighton has said goodbye to the Northfield Police Department where he served for 34 years. Sergeant Alex Pirzikhov has been appointed by the Northfield Selectboard as Acting Police Chief. Pirzikov has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Westfield State University and graduated at the top of his academy at the New Braintree State Police Academy.
