(undated) — Several local towns are among 26 statewide to receive grants related to climate change restoration efforts. Governor Baker says the $4 million in grants awarded through the Department of Fish and Game will focus on culvert replacements, road improvements and efforts to protect local rivers already being impacted by global climate change. Franklin County towns receiving grants include Buckland, Colrain, Heath, Leyden, Montague, Orange and Whately. Belchertown, Cummington and Hadley in Hampshire County were also awarded grants.
