(Ashfield, MA) — A car accident in Ashfield resulted in a police chase Wednesday afternoon. State Police Spokesman Brandon Doherty said two people fled the scene of the accident off Route 116 and Cummington Road and headed for the woods. One was located at Spruce Corner Road, the search for the other, believed to be a pregnant woman, was ongoing as of last night. The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing helicopter was assisting in the search, but had to leave due to bad weather.
