(undated) — Tuesday night was another busy one for emergency crews across Western Massachusetts. A series of fast-moving winds blew through the area late yesterday afternoon, knocking out power to about 2,000 residents, including about 100 in Franklin County.
The high winds and heavy rain brought down trees and wires in Whately, Deerfield, Hatfield, Pelham and a number of other communities. Most of the power outages were restored by midnight or shortly thereafter.
