undated) — Massachusetts first responders may soon be prohibited from taking pictures of victims. A new bill has been filed on Beacon Hill which would prohibit emergency personnel from photographing accident victims and showing them to anyone. The impetus for the bill grew out of an incident ten years ago when photos of a Chicopee murder victim were taken by first responders and then shared witn other emergency personnel. Violations would carry a fine of up to $2,000 or up to one year in prison.
