(undated) — This weekend could be a tough one for residents who are facing the potential loss of their homes. The COVID-related moratorium on evictions is set to expire this weekend, which could affect hundreds of thousands of Massachusetts residents. The moratorium was put into effect by the CDC last September. The Biden Administration had hoped to extend the moratorium because of the Delta Variant, but was blocked from doing so by a 5-4 Supreme Court decision which will officially end the moratorium on Saturday, which is the final day of July.
