(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield Police officials are asking residents to avoid the downtown area this morning due to a pair of water main breaks and a gas main break. Officer David Rice says one water main break occurred overnight near Main and Federal Streets, and another happened on the west end of Main Street. Federal Street is closed between Main Street and Pleasant Street. Main Street is closed between Hope Street and Court Square. Bank Row is closed between Main and Olive Streets. And Main Street is closed between Solon and Conway Streets.

UPDATE: Crescent Street is closed between Orchard Street and Spring Terrace.
