(undated) — Pressure continues to be felt from groups who want Massachusetts to require students to wear facemasks in school beginning this fall. The American Federation of Teachers and the Mass. Teachers Association are urging state lawmakers to require universal mask wearing in K-6 schools beginning this fall. The state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has, so far, stopped short of imposing a mask requirement, though it is strongly recommending that masks be worn inside the classroom.
