Every year on April 7 the world celebrates global health awareness. This year, World Health Day is especially relevant given the COVID-19 pandemic. Without nurses and doctors on the front lines, there would be no response to the pandemic. This year, WHO, or the World Health Organization, released the first ever State of the World Nursing Report to provide a global picture of the nursing workforce. Click here to view the report.

“Nurses and other healthcare workers are on the front line of the COVID-19 response,” said WHO in a recent press release. WHO aims to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce around the world through their recommendations. To view more information on World Health Day, click here.
