(undated) — Thursday was another busy night for emergency crews as a series of heavy storms rumbled through the area late in the afternoon. The Mass. Emergency Management Agency says as many as 10,000 people lost power at the height of the storm, with Easthampton in Hampshire County among the hardest hit communities. Trees were reported down in Northfield and Colrain in Franklin County, as well as a number of other towns to the south and west. There is a threat for more storms later today as a cold front moves through which is expected to deliver relief from our latest heat wave.
