(West Springfield) – On April 6, Governor Charlie Baker announced a new COVID-19 drive-thru testing site at the Big E Fairgrounds in West Springfield. The new testing site will be available to first responders eight hours a day, seven days a week, and is expected to open at the end of this week. First responders will have to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 and have a doctor’s referral to get tested. This new site is in addition to two additional testing locations, one at Gillette Stadium and one in Lowell.
