(Greenfield, MA) — The 172nd Franklin County Fair officially kicks off today with the traditional fair parade through downtown Greenfield. The parade steps off at five from the Greenfield Middle School and runs down Federal Street to Main Street, turns left onto River Street at the Dunkin’ Donuts, then turns right onto Laurel Street and ends at the fairgrounds. The theme for this year’s parade is “It’s the Bee’s Knees,” and it is expected to be held even though there are showers in the forecast. The fair runs through Sunday evening, and mask wearing is required when inside any of the fair buildings.
