(Whately, MA) — Police are searching for an SUV which is believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident on Routes 5 and 10 Monday afternoon. Whately Police say a man was walking his dog near the intersection of Christian Lane at around 1:30 when he was apparently struck by the vehicle, the force of which knocked him over a guardrail to the ground below. The victim suffered serious injuries. The SUV is dark gray in color and was last seen driving south on 5 and 10. Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to call Whately Police.
