(Chicopee, MA) — A former Greenfield school business manager is a finalist for an at-large seat on Chicopee’s School Committee. Former business manager Stephen Nembirkow was one of the two top vote-getters in yesterday’s three-person primary for the Chicopee school board seat. He will face Susan Szetela Lopes in the November final. Nembirkow is the son of former Greenfield School Superintendent Basan “Buzz” Nembirkow, who also served for a number of years as Chicopee’s School Superintendent.
