(Greenfield, MA) — The city of Greenfield has been presented with the first installment of what will eventually be a $2 million dollar payment to support the city’s new library. The Greenfield City Council last night was notified that a $500,000 dollar check is being sent to the city from the Greenfield Public Library Foundation. Library supporters agreed to raise the $2 million as part of an agreement to secure city support to build the new facility.
