(Northampton, MA) — A 69-year-old Northampton man was struck and killed by a car while bicycling near Northampton High School. It happened around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Elm Street. The bicyclist was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car, a 23-year-old woman from Haydenville, remained at the scene and cooperated with police. No charges or citations have issued and the incident remains under investigation.
