(undated) — State lawmakers are considering a bill which supporters believe will go a long way toward wiping out hunger on Massachusetts college campuses. The State House News Service says the legislation would direct the Department of Higher Education to establish a Hunger-Free Campus Initiative and a corresponding grant program to support colleges which join the “Hunger Free Campus” initiative. It would also create a state office to support campuses as they work to address student food insecurity issues.
