(undated) — It’s looking like a busy fall is on tap for members of the Massachusetts National Guard. Members have already been called into active service to assist school districts which are lacking an adequate number of bus drivers. Now, Governor Baker has announced that Guard units are being activated to assist state prisons which may be facing a potential shortage of correction’s officers ahead of the COVID 19 vaccination mandate. Guard members are also being called up to assist schools in testing students for COVID beginning next week.
