Combined Sources

(Montague, MA) — Montague public safety dispatchers will be getting a raise soon. Montague special town meeting members Saturday approved all 13 warrant articles, one of which increases the town’s dispatcher salaries to what police officials say are at a more competitive level with what other communities are offering. The bulk of the discussion focused on issues related to the use of the town’s allotment of certified free cash, portions of which were used to buy a new camera to examine the town’s sewer lines and set aside to help the town prepare to pay for employee retirement benefits as mandated by the state.
