(undated) — Today is the deadline for the public to comment on a series of proposed changes to state legislative districts. The committee charged with overseeing the changes is accepting public comment on the new districts until 5pm this afternoon. Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner and other city officials have criticized the plan, which splits the city’s representation among the First and Second Franklin districts. And Democrats from Pelham and Shutesbury say they are concerned about being moved into new districts with towns whose priorities and demographics may be very different from their own. If approved, the new districts will be in place at the start of the next legislative session.
Maps of the proposed districts are found here.

The committee has a contact page for comments on their website here.
