(undated) — Get ready to possibly pay more for that can of soda. State lawmakers are once again considering a bill which would add a tax surcharge to drinks containing sugar. Supporters say the change would help encourage people to make better choices about what they consume, but opponents say it will do little to achieve that goal while disproportionately impacting low income residents. Similar versions of this same bill have been floated before on Beacon Hill, without success.
