(Greenfield, MA) — A pair of citizen’s petitions will be among a long list of items taken up by the Greenfield City Council tonight. The council has been served with two petitions, one of which calls for the reopening of Court Square to vehicular traffic. The other demands that public meetings be held in person rather than virtually. A city council subcommittee recently held a meeting on the petitions and determined that the council doesn’t have jurisdiction on the use of Court Square, which is under the purview of the mayor. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 via the city’s Webex conferencing system.
