(Northampton, MA) — A New Hampshire man was placed on probation for two years and ordered to make immediate restitution after he admitted to stealing over $16,793.92 worth of batteries from Big Y stores in four different counties. The Northwestern DA’s office says 49-year-old Brian Caldwell of Windham, New Hampshire has decided to change his plea to guilty in connection with the theft of batteries from 13 Big Y World Class Markets between May 2021 and June 2021 with the intention of selling them on the Internet. Caldwell must also stay away from all Big Y markets and pay a $10,000 fine.
