Northfield Chooses UMass Police Lieutenant As Next Police Chief

(Northfield, MA) — A UMass Police lieutenant has been chosen to be the next police chief in the town of Northfield. The Northfield Selectboard has voted to offer the job to UMass Lieutenant Jonathan Hall, who was one of two finalists to replace recently-retired Chief Robert Leighton. Hall is expected to take the job pending the successful completion of contract negotiation.
