(Greenfield, MA) — Officials in Greenfield and Montague are preparing for what could be another tough day on the roads next week. A paving project along Turners Falls Road next Tuesday will force closure of that road, which would leave the Gill-Montague Bridge as the only route for drivers to get to Greenfield. The last time the road was closed for milling, it created a traffic bottleneck which led to long delays and lots of angry drivers. Residents are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly on November 2nd, which is when paving is scheduled to occur. Rain date is November 3rd.
