(Greenfield, MA) — A series of violent incidents among Greenfield High School students has drawn the attention of the city’s police. Greenfield Deputy Police Chief Bill Gordon says officers have been called to the high school twice in three days, the first at 12:44 Wednesday for a report of a fight between 12 and 15 students.. Police were back at the school at 11:20 Thursday for a report of an emotionally disturbed student who had left school and came back. At 1:18, officers were back at the school after receiving a report from a parent that a “shelter in place” order had been issued for what Gordon said turned out to be another fight. No arrests were made, and Gordon said each incident was handled by staff without police involvement. The school department has so far not commented on the incidents.
