(Greenfield, MA) — Two write-in candidates have won seats on Greenfield’s City Council. Town Clerk Kathy Scott says Derek Helie and Michael Terounzo were winners in the most recent city election. Terounzo received 215 votes and will take over the at-large seat being vacated by Ashli Stempel-Rae. Helie picked up 117 votes, enough to outlast write-in candidate Mike Corona for the Precinct 9 seat being vacated by Norman Hirschfeld. Scott says the election results will be made official at the November 9th meeting of the city’s Board of Registrars.
