(Shelburne, MA) — A lot of pumpkins got splattered and a lot of money was raised to support local 4 H programs at Saturday’s annual “Pumpkin Smash” at Hager’s Farm Market. The event, sponsored by the Greenfield Radio Group, allowed people to bring their pumpkins to be smashed in exchange for a donation to Franklin County 4H. The pumpkins were dropped from a lift and the owner whose pumpkin smashed the farthest won a cash prize. There was also a large fundraising raffle with all of the money raised going to support 4H programs.
